Too bad you aren't interested in Baby Bjorn. I struggle with back issues too and it gives the best support! I also have the Wendy Bellissimo style of sling and I find that that type of sling seems to worsen my back pain. I only use it sparingly.

Perhaps give Baby Bjorn a try-on session?

I havean eight month old and we use the moby 4 days a week and we both LOVE it, she naps for 1-2 hours easy when she is in it!! PLUS you can nurse put it on you front or back sides, anyway you want it... I LOVE IT. Best mothers day gift in the world.... ALSO go to Amazon to get one they are cheaper=)

First of all, congradulations!
Well it seems like you're pretty much ready but you will need gas drops, alcohol for the belly botton, vicks vaporizer, rash cream and infant tylonol, just incase. You dont want to be running around at the last minute. Also get things that you think YOU might need. Pads, nursing pads, etc. Things that you may feel comfortable with. All though its such a wonderful thing its not all about the baby. In order for the baby to be fine, you have to be aswell. And if you havent got ready for the day you go to the hospital, here's a list of some of the things you might need.
-for baby
couple of onesies, first photo outfit (day you get out), socks, hats or benies, recieving blankets, burp cloths, carseat, blanket, although they should provide almost everything at the hospital, you just want to be sure.
- for you
change of clothes for when you get out, slippers, some women like to bring their own pads, make up, comb, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, own towels(if you want), book or magazines( something you can entertain yourself with), Perfume(again if you want), Mirror (you don't want to use up the on in the bathroom as you might have roomates), cell phone, charger, birth announcements.
- daddy
Something to keep himself occupied, camera or video camera.

moby (also cuddlywrap and mamankangourou) is FABULOUS. i didn't like the maya wrap nearly as much as it was not versatile and it was hard on my back after a couple hours. with the mamankangourou, i could carry my 28lb baby all day long on my front at the flea market without any stress on my back (just my hips bugged me but a warm bath took care of that).
