We are planning a trip to New York City this summer with our 4 month old daughter. We backpacked all over Europe and are open to that type of travel. She is a very flexible baby and sleeps well anywhere. I am not really wondering so much about how to travel with her as I am looking for information on the various sights/attractions. Are there places that do not allow infants. Example: I would love to see a Broadway show, but I presume that they do not allow young children. I was just wondering if anyone else has done this and if you have any advice on places that may not be easily visited before I buy tickets, etc.

If I could Google the answer do you think I would have posted here for someone else to Google it for me? I am assuming there are avid, knowledgeable hikers that are familiar with particular product as it turns out, not EVERYTHING can be Googled.

Also, I don't know what other information would help you to narrow down a search. These are product names along with what kind of product they are (hiking packs). Please don't make pointless responses to questions.

I have one of the snugli baby carriers. I find it very hard to put her in.
Does any one have any easy tricks, or know of an easy carrier? She is almost 12 weeks old, so still forward facing, and I can't get the hang of putting her in!

Kelty Kids has a backpack convertable stroller that is nice to use if you encounter stairs. My combi drags behind from my right hand, with my child flexed tightly in my left arm whenever there is no elevator around. The Kelty is 8lbs and around $125 -200 depending on the model you get from Sportsman Warehouse. There are businesses that will match prices in the area, such as Alpine Experience. I'm ready to advance to this type of system since I'm more active now six months post childbirth and this will allow me to go hiking. My Combi stroller/car seat was about $300, but came with a well-constructed car seat that easily came in and out of the base, which remained stationary in the car. This could easily be removed from the car and placed in my stroller in minutes.
