Do you have dreams about your sports rivals?

Those that know me here have seen me kid around about a great many things. But this past weekend brought something I may never have imagined. I'm not making this up.

In the course of the last three days, I've dreamt on Friday night that I made my way to Montreal to attend a Flyers/Habs tilt where I caused a ruckus at the concession stand.

On Saturday night I dreamt that I fathered a child with a woman who - in real life - I am only friends with AND a Dallas Cowboys fan. We were season ticket holders and the first to walk into their new stadium.

Then on Sunday night, I'm in goal for Manchester United FC and who should come breaking in on me but Ronaldo wearing one of those infernal Chelsea kits!!!

I'm curious if you have had weird dreams involving your teams rivals. If you haven't, be forewarned not to eat a big meal before bedtime.

THATS IT!!!! No more sleepovers or cheesesteaks with Joe, Lubers and Bob.. When you Flyers fans crash and burn, YOU CRASH AND BURN!!!! Lmao..

Did dream once that I was doing the "30 arenas in 30 nights" tour and got snowed in at Edmonton with only 2 stops to go (CGY and VAN).. Where the h3ll was Ice Road Trucker Hugh the polar bear when I REALLY needed a ride??

Does anyone have any more feedback on car seats and strollers?

Kelty Kids has a backpack convertable stroller that is nice to use if you encounter stairs. My combi drags behind from my right hand, with my child flexed tightly in my left arm whenever there is no elevator around. The Kelty is 8lbs and around $125 -200 depending on the model you get from Sportsman Warehouse. There are businesses that will match prices in the area, such as Alpine Experience. I'm ready to advance to this type of system since I'm more active now six months post childbirth and this will allow me to go hiking. My Combi stroller/car seat was about $300, but came with a well-constructed car seat that easily came in and out of the base, which remained stationary in the car. This could easily be removed from the car and placed in my stroller in minutes.

If you can use it as a car seat and a stroller you are saving time and money.
Consider some other models that you can find in this article about the best baby strollers.

Does anyone hike/backpack/camp with their kids?

I have a 1 year old and I think by next fall she'll either be too big or too wiggly to be carried in the backpack carrier (Kelty Kids). Does anyone take thier toddlers hiking? Camping? Any suggestions? We go in the mountains of PA.

I took my son on his first hike at six months old, in a Snugli carrier, with a daypack on my back. A month later we went on our only backpacking trip using the same carrier. By the time he was 9 months old we'd switched to a Kelty Meadow KIDS carrier, which we used for two years for day hiking, but as my wife is too weak to carry the kid, we never were able to figure out how to go backpacking, unless I carried over 50 lbs, including the kid, which is too much for the Kelty Meadow.

We used the Kelty until he was 2 years & 5 months old when we tried to experiment to see how far he could walk, which was about 33% of the time, with 66% of the time riding on my shoulders, which wasn't very comfortable. So we purchased a Sherpani Rhumba UL carrier for our vacation to Hawaii, at age 2 1/2, weight 30 lbs, and he rode in that about 66% of the time on several day hikes. (I don't recommend that carrier because the stitching came out and we had to return it, but we did get a full refund.)

At around 2 years, 10 months he hiked about 75% of the way on a seven mile hike around Muir Woods NM, the rest on my shoulders. I don't plan to put him in a carrier any more, but if we hadn't had it in Hawaii our hikes would've been impossible.

We never had a problem with wiggliness. You are kind of torturing them if you keep them in there a long time, so we never did extremely long hikes, and always stopped and let him rest and play as much as possible, moving no more than 1 MPH over a whole day, their experience of the woods just as important as mine. He'd usually fall asleep in the carrier in the afternoon for an hour or two. We never felt the need to bring toys along to keep him quiet.

Anyone who uses a baby bjorn?

Has anyone else had the bjorn sport/active/synergy and thought it was way harder on your back than the bjorn original? I splurged on a synergy the day before yesterday and brody and i both HATE it. the fabric pinches him and it KILLS my shoulders and back. i absolutely LOVED the original and thought the synergy would be even better. So i went back to Babiesrus today and exchanged it for a new original.

Has anyone else had this problem or did your active/sport/synergy work awesomely for you? [i put active/sport/synergy because they all have the same back support system]

I hated it and actually went from the original, to this one and then tried a sling - loved the sling...it just took a while to get the hang of using it.
