My daughter (4 months) has never been a cuddler. She hates being cradled in my arm or held close, even at an early age. She hated the snugli and sling (will try to work her way out) and doesn't do the cute little thing where they lay their heads on your chest when you hold them. She prefers to be held high, over my shoulder looking around behind me. Instant way to stop her crying. She likes to "stand" on my lap but the minute I try to cuddle with her she fusses =( The only times I can cuddle her is when we co-sleep (she sleeps well in the crook of my arm) or when she falls asleep rocking her w/ last bottle at night.
She smiles, laughs, all that good stuff with me and others but doesn't like to be held close....
I am getting a complex.... =(
