baby slings question?

I'm looking to buy a baby sling. My daughter is 3 months old and carrying her around all day is getting to be a little much. I noticed while shopping that the slings come in Small, Medium or Large. Is the the mom's waist size or the baby's size? What is the size for?
Also is their any brand or type anyone would recommend?

The sized slings are based on parent size. You may want to go for an adjustable sling like the Maya wrap. Or, my personal favorite, the Ergo, which is a soft structured carrier, great for those of us with bad backs!
