When you perform in front of a large audience, which type of song would you rather sing?

Would you rather have your audience hear a song that they have heard of before, or a song that you know how to sing and they have NEVER heard of before? Because sometimes you might know how to sing a song that people have NEVER heard of before; OR probably a song that they have heard of, but your singing voice cannot take that high pitch (ergo, it would make you look bad).

I am having this problem at the moment, and my performance is tomorrow night. Can anyone help me?

I would choose a song that the audience has heard but that you can ALSO sing well. People like things they're familiar with, but they'll also be a lot more likely to hear your mistakes. So make sure you have the song down.
