Has anyone made a Mei Tai baby carrier/sling?

I currently use a ring sling and a wrap (Kari Me). I am considering a Mei Tai, but as I don't have much money at the moment I thought I'd make one. They look pretty simple and I've checked out various websites which have patterns and instructions. Has anyone made one and if so which site/info did they use and any feedback/hints and tips. Many thanks

I have made 2 of them. I kind of studied the other patterns and then improvised my own design from that. It was pretty easy, but i am an experienced seamstress. I made one out of solarveil for the pool and one out of linen and brocade to wear at the renaissance faire.

i think I followed the FrankenKozy pattern and a couple others. I just googled "Asian baby carrier patterns"
