Baby Carrier~Moby Wrap????
How long (in feet, yards, or inches) is a "Moby Wrap" or a "Mayan Wrap"? I'm trying to make my own because I really can't afford to buy one! Plus I want to be able to pick what fabric I want it made out of!
about 5 yards total (for a moby). get something with stretch it in that's breathable -- plain cotton jersey will work fine. you don't have to do a seam either because jersey won't ravel.

for a maya wrap, you'll need something sturdier like a knit linen or something without stretch. maya wraps are ring slings though, a moby is just the long piece of fabric that you wrap up. I found jersey last week (I was making a dress) for $5 a yard at joanne fabrics.
