I wear my 5 month olg on a daily basis. I have not used the carrier that you are asking about, but I do have a ring sling(like a maya wrap), a mei tai, and a pouch sling. I never really got the hang of the pouch, I didn't like that I couldn't adjust it. My ring sling was great when he was a newborn, and for quick trips. He likes the mei tai the best, as do I for longer trips; it just seems to adjust the weight better.
