Would a black Ergo work in a warmer area?

I found an Ergo carrier on Craigslist for $95 including the infant insert. Says it has only been taken out of the box to look at/try on so it's virtually new. The only drawback I can see/think of is the color. It's black and we're moving down to North Carolina soon. However, our baby won't be here until September but if I recall(lived down there before) it's still pretty warm down there that time of the year.

Do any of you mommies have a darker colored Ergo but live in a warmer climate? Do you think this would be a huge problem? I don't really see us using it for outdoors a lot aside from walks. Otherwise it'll be used in grocery stores, at the mall, etc.

Honestly I would say it wouldn't be any hotter to wear than any other color of Ergo. I recently purchased an Organic Ergo in the Cranberry color http://www.ergobabycarriers.com/babycarriers/item/BC4TOL/ and it is hot wearing baby around (of course mine is almost 11 months old). We live in VA and it was pretty warm the day I wore her around in the yard. I didn't sweat profusely, but living in a warmer climate I am sure I would get pretty hot. But, it is pretty breathable. I really don't see how it being black would make _much_ of a difference. But, I don't have a black one.

I think it should be fine! Go for it because it's only $95! That's a good deal especially with the infant insert included. Good luck!!
