How to solve Velocity? (Physics)?

I have a practice problem that i need help with.
*A plane lands with a velocity of +120m/s and accelerates at a maximum rate of -6.0m/s^2.
A. from the instant the plane touches teh runway, what is the minimum time needed before it can coe to rest?
B. can this plane land on a naval aircract carrier where the runway is .80 km long?

i have NO idea what to do because i struggle with physics. i cant get in touch with my teacher, so if anyone could help i would GREATLY appreciate it!

A. use the equations of motion.

v = vo + a(t)
we have the initial velocity (vo) and acceleration (a), and the final velocity (v) will be 0 because the plane will be stopped.
plugging in: 0 = 120 + (-6.0)t
t = 20 s

B. the second part we are given the distance (x) available
use the equation of motion x = 1/2(vo + v)t to solve for the distance (x) actually needed to stop.
first, convert .80 km to meters, .80 km = 800 m
plugging in : x = 1/2(120 + 0)20
x = 1200 m
so if we know you need 1200 m and you only have 800 m, the plane will not be able to land.
