infant Slings and carriers?

Which brands have you tried and which ones worked out for you? Also i plan on exclusively breastfeeding so is there a brand that's especially good for that while out running errands or eating? Thanks

I have a hotsling, a babyhawk mei tai, a babybelle (like a baby bjorn but thin and you can nurse in it), and one that's like an ergo (action baby carrier is the brand i have). My baby hated the hotsling, but it's easy to use nice and small for the diaper bag. It's the one I reach for last. The mei tai is gorgeous, and great for babies who like to be upright (like mine) and it's nice for nursing. However, it starts to hurt your back when they get older (I have a bad back though) and the knots from the back dig into you when you sit down. Also, I always felt like the straps dug into the baby's legs. The baby belle is great for a couple of months (3-6 about) when they want to look out and face away from you since you can just turn the toward you when they want to nurse/sleep. My very favorite one is the soft structured carrier (the action baby carrier). it is very comfortable, padded, compact, and you can wear it both front and back. It is also the most "daddy friendly." This one also gives you the most bang for your buck since you can use it a long time. I also read that baby bjorn carriers hurt spine development since the babies dangle from their crotch. My baby liked the baby belle but that article makes me worry. So, I've tried a lot (bordering on obsession lol). With my next baby I want to try a ring sling and a wrap for the newborn stage. I also exclusively breastfed (it's awesome!). So basically, if I were you, I'd get a good ring sling (since it has extra material as a built in nursing cover) and a good soft structured carrier that you can use from newborn to toddler.
