CAR SEAT - When did you remove the infant inserts?
I have a Chicco car seat and have tried to find the age/weight at which the infant head rest and seat padding should be removed with no luck.
So, I ask all of you experienced mommas, when did you remove the infant inserts on your infant carrier style car seats?
** My son is almost 4 months and pushing 17 lbs. It seems tight with the infant inserts and too roomy without them. He has good head control, but I'm worried about his head tipping so far to the side while he sleeps without the head insert. Him sleeping in his car seat is almost instantaneous.
I did right away and just bought my own insert, that seemed roomier. I had to move my baby to a convertible car seat at 5 months and I've been using "neck wings" which help when she falls asleep, by stopping the head from falling forward. You can look at them here, to get an idea. Hope I helped!
