Why don't the other carriers try to mimic Southwest?

There are certain things that other airlines cannot mimic such as fleet commonality. Airlines such as United, Delta or American which fly internationally need a mix of big and small aircraft because they serve international destinations as well as cities with very few people which many times gets contracted out to a regional airline.
The other airlines have copied Southwest in some areas such as fuel hedging but Southwest does have a different company culture than the other legacy airlines and it can be difficult for a large airline to change its corporate culture.
