what is the name of the kids movie?

it's set in 1938-1945.. its about a pigeon who lives on a farm and wants to become a carrier pigeon, and he like goes to this training camp and there are these 3 hawks (or four) and they kidnap some of the pigeons and eat them, but they are going to rescue one of them and they are like.. parachuted from a flying fortess.. i don't know what its called but i loved that movie and i want to see it again
