has anyone had problems with brown dots in horses eyes?
I have a Creamello pony, and her eyes are blue. I just noticed that she has some brown dot's in her eye, on the blue (iris) her left eye has a big one just below the pupil, and the right eye has about 3 small ones, randomly?
I can't find anything on google about horses eyes having that, but I have found some things about humans!
What I was able to find was this following info, as well as a veterinarian book reference. "Masses of tissue in the horse's eye act as an awning of sorts over the pupil, thought to shield it from the glare of the sun. When cysts develope on these structures, they can interfere with vision. Signs might be shaking of the head and being more fearful."

I was curious about these as well, as my horse has them too. They haven't caused a problem for him, and my vet said they were harmless. However, I can understand how it might limit their vision.
