Birthday gift from Parents for Son expecting a baby?

Our son and his wife are expecting their first child this summer. Our sons birthday is a month away. I want to give him a Baby Bjorn Air Carrier as a birthday gift. My husband thinks thats "for the baby" and isn't a proper gift for the Dad-to-be as a birthday gift. I disagree and think it's more "for the Dad". Does a birthday gift really have to be all about "me me me"?

What do you think? Any suggestions for a gift? Son is 28, likes snowboarding and hiking.

I would have to agree with both of you. Yes, that is a nice gift, but it is a baby shower gift, not a birthday gift. I would say it would be fine, as long as you also got him something else that is strictly for him.
