Best baby carrier for toddler for plus size mom

I have a 15month old who has grown out of her baby bjorn (which hurt my back anyways). I carried her in a hot-sling as infant, which was the best. Anyways, I would like to get a new carrier, possibly a wrap. (I tried the "Ultimate Baby Wrap" which I couldn't figure out).

People have suggested the ergo but I really don't like the strap that goes around the tummy, being plus size it makes me look funny. (I wear an 14-18 in case that matters)
