I love my Ergo! I have it in chocolate brown, and I did get the organic kind, but that's because the price difference was very small, and I like to support organic products (also, my daughter does chew on the straps a lot, but I didn't know she would before I bought it).

It's a great carrier--extremely comfortable for both me and and my 20-pound daughter. My back only gets a little tired if I've been walking for more than an hour or so--and that's pretty good, I think.

I haven't put her on my back yet, but it is a possibility--and I've seen other babies enjoy this position.

Also, the hood that you can pull out of the carrier is really wonderful for blocking the sun and for supporting your baby's head when s/he's sleeping--it's great.
