Where can I find sturdy, adjustable legs?

Where can we buy (or how can we make) STURDY adjustable legs? My husband and I are expecting in January, and are planning on making quite a bit of the supplies (baby slings, etc). We would like to make this:

But we're stumped when it comes to the legs. We'd prefer to buy them, since it's for the baby, we obviously want something sturdy. Where can one find adjustable legs??

Since you are building it yourselves, why not just buy pre fab furniture legs at the hardware store and cut them to length to fit your bed? They really only need to be adjustable if they are moved to beds of different heights or if you want to pass them on later to someone else.

Edit: After looking at the close up of the legs on their web site, it looks like they are using a combination of standard 'one by one' (the sliding part), 'one by two' (sandwiching the slide) and a 'one by three'? (for the back of the assembly). Two 1/4 inch bolts and wing nuts per leg and several holes drilled in the 'one by one' slide would give you a very strong adjustable leg if you were determined to go this route.

Of course it's not possible to be certain of the exact dimensions of the lumber used in the picture (as well as the fact that say a 'one by three' isn't really one inch by three inches) but you could do the math and work it out fairly easily.

I'm hope this description isn't too vague. I'm writing with the assumption in mind that your carpentry skills are more than novice since your baby's safety is dependent on them.

BTW, Congratulations!
